Artist Profile: Abby Kenna

Releasing 3 self-produced singles straight out of her bedroom in 2018, local artist Abby Kenna emerged as an artist focusing on the raw vulnerability of just her and the piano. She has performed consistently within the New Jersey music scene, as well as being featured on collaborations with artists such as Daniel Jay Woods and Luke Dapuzzo.
With the recent release of her new EP, "From the Bathroom Floor", Kenna dived into a full-band sound, complete with countless synths, keyboards, and even a xylophone. The indie pop vibe articulated the EP's perspective on 3 stories teetering on the edge of youth and tiptoeing into the harsh realities of adulthood. On January 1, 2020, her new single, "Black Coffee", was released (and added to the Radio Asbury playlist!), pushing Kenna's sound more into the realm of alternative rock.
"Black Coffee" and "From the Bathroom Floor" were recorded and produced at Lakehouse Recording Studios in Asbury Park, NJ, and are supported by Moto Records.
Kenna is attending Berklee College of Music studying Songwriting and Recording Technology.
